FeatureLanguage

Answered in the language the customer opened with.

Language is detected per message, not per account. A customer who switches from English to Hindi mid-thread gets the reply in Hindi, and your team still reads the handoff note in the language they work in.

  • Detected per message, so a mid-thread switch is handled
  • Qualifying questions and confirmations follow the same language
  • Your team reads the conversation and the captured fields in theirs

What it does

The part that matters in practice.

No language setting to get wrong

Nobody picks a language on a dropdown. The agent reads what arrived and replies in kind, message by message.

Romanised scripts included

Hinglish and other romanised writing is common on WhatsApp, and it is understood as written rather than treated as a typo.

Qualification travels too

The budget and timeline questions are asked in the customer's language, so the fields you capture do not depend on their English.

How it works

Underneath the feature.

Everything here runs on the material you upload and the instructions you write — and stops the moment a conversation needs a person.

One agent, not one per market

You maintain a single set of instructions and one knowledge base. Language is handled at reply time, not by cloning the agent.

Consistent across channels

The same detection runs on WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger and website chat, so a customer gets the same treatment wherever they wrote.

Readable handoffs

When a thread escalates, your team sees the conversation plus a summary they can act on without translating it first.

Getting started

Four steps, no implementation project.

01

Nothing to configure

Detection is on by default for every agent and every channel.

02

Set a house style

If you want formal or informal address in a given language, say so in the instructions.

03

Check the common ones

Test the languages your customers actually use and tune the wording where it matters.

04

Watch the log

Conversation history shows the original message, so you can see how a language performed.

FAQ

Multilingual Replies, in detail.

Which languages are supported?

The major Indian and international languages customers message in, including romanised writing like Hinglish. If your customers use a language heavily, test it in a private chat before launch and tune the instructions from what you see.

Can I force one language?

Yes. If your brand replies only in English, say so in the agent instructions and it will answer in English regardless of the incoming language.

Does my team need to speak the language?

Not to follow the thread. The escalation summary is written in the language your team works in, alongside the original conversation.

Does it cost more?

No. Pricing is per message regardless of language, and WhatsApp's own conversation charges are billed at cost.
